A new Other Game? It's 2018 all over again! In this special exhibition prediction game, the subject is Apple's ever-shifting attempts to comply with the European Union's Digital Markets Act without giving a single centimeter more than they absolutely have to. The order was chosen by proximity to "the EU". The deadline for predictions was grading on April 17th. The prize? "We'll come up with something."
When April 17th came around, though... the fast and furious changes had slowed down considerably, and all picks were incorrect. Therefore, the can was kicked down the road, and the grading was rescheduled for the third week of October.
News continued to be slow on the DMA front, but ultimately the game was in fact settled then. Federico points out that Europeans do like to take vacations over the summer, after all, so maybe we should've expected this.
